Family Movie Night

Family movie night was a big deal for Brandon’s family when he was growing up. Most Friday nights after everyone got home from school and work, they’d bake a frozen pizza and sit down together for a flick. Last year, we continued the tradition, but with a few minor changes.

The Pizza

The first change we made was to the pizza. Rather than the Tombstone savings, we opted to buy fresh dough and put on our own toppings. The boys really like to put extra cheese, ground beef, or meatballs on their half. Sometimes we’ll use extra produce we have on hand from the week, or most recently we’ve really been into our own version of Prima’s white pizza and cheesy bread. If you haven’t had Prima, you’re definitely missing out.

The Movies

We tend to stream our movies like we do book series. We’ll get stuck on a genre, time period, or topic for a month or two and then get into something else. Below are some nostalgic categories (1980s - 2000s) we’ve enjoyed together. Hopefully, they bring your family laughs and snuggles, too.

*In case streaming agreements change and the movies listed below become unavailable on the platforms listed, I have included links to rent each movie from Prime Video.
