Meet the Caseys

We are the Casey family. Our favorite past time is making memories together and that usually involves trying something new. Sometimes the new thing is food, going somewhere different, or challenging ourselves with something we have not done before. Either way, we love to learn along the way and try not to take ourselves too seriously.

We have two very energetic boys; Jacob is currently in the 3rd grade and Jonah is in 1st. They enjoy being active and both play competitive soccer. Jacob loves science, punny jokes, arts and crafts, and Pokemon. Jonah loves reading, building (especially with Legos), animals, and Minecraft. For the most part, our boys get along wonderfully and have a great relationship with one another (something we find very important).

Brandon, my husband, is a marketing director for a local real estate group. He is also a talented photographer (you may have seen his work over the past year at our central Florida art shows). His best photographs are of our coastal landscapes and of rocket launches. Brandon is also just getting back into playing hockey. He’s been doing some of the group classes and workouts and plans to sign up for the adult league that begins in February. Brandon’s other interests include traveling and sampling craft beers.

My name is Kelli and I am the reading coach at a local high school. My days are spent helping teachers promote literacy strategies in their lessons, as well as working with students to meet reading and writing graduation requirements. One of my favorite parts of teaching are the school breaks and extra opportunities to know my sons and spend quality time with them. I am the occasional cook/baker and dabble a little in gardening, but my real hobbies are reading and crafting. I particularly enjoy historical fiction and novels with alternating points of views or timelines. I also love my Cricut Maker, sublimation printer, and heat press.

We are the Casey family. For us, this blog is about practicing gratitude for the adventures we are fortunate enough to have and we hope our posts inspire an exchange of ideas for meaningful memory making with other families.
