Central Florida Youth Soccer Facilities
Being three years into our adventure in competitive soccer, we’re still surprised at what a hassel it can be making it to the right place and finding the right fields in time for warmups and game time. Here is a list of fields and descriptions of each to help competitive youth soccer parents know (including reminding ourselves) what to expect after they park.
Note: Our boys currently play 7v7 and 9v9, so I’m not sure how helpful this post will be for 11v11 families. Also, they play in the GCF league, so I’m not sure how helpful this will be to players of other leagues.
Central Brevard Soccer United at Mitchell Ellington Park
577 Hall Rd, Merritt Island, FL 32953
Multi-sport complex with 6 soccer fields in the back right portion of the park
The restrooms are located right next to the fields.
Home to the Hurricane Classic Tournament held annually in August
We ate at Dolphins Grill. It was a great location with great food. We were a large group so we knew it would take time but the service was slower than expected and it took forever getting out of there because the tickets were all wrong (maybe not the server’s fault, their system sounded confusing).
Florida Kraze Krush at Central Winds Park
1000 Central Winds Dr, Winter Springs, FL 32708
Large multi-sport complex makes parking tough at this location. Pay attention to whether your assigned field is on the upper or lower levels.
We’ve played 7v7 on Field E a few times. This is not on the hyperlinked PDF above, but is located with the upper fields behind the baseball fields.
There are also multiple concession stands, a playground and multiple restrooms.
Ocala Premiere at Big Sun Complex
2811 SE 36th Ave Ocala, FL 34471
Fields located in middle of traffic loop with parking all around
Bathrooms located in corner between fields 6 and 8.
On the day we played, the club had a Kona Ice truck next to the restrooms.
The Villages Soccer Club at The Villages Soccer Complex
17690 US-301 S Summerfield, FL 34491
This field does not currently have any restrooms. There are two porta-potties here. Because we had a heads up about this beforehand, most of our team opted to stop at the nearby Publix instead.
We ate at The Anchor. It was a dive and we almost went somewhere else. The patio was closed because they had one server/bartender and one cook. We ended up staying and the food and service was great. The prices were great, too.
