Legoland Birthday

Jonah turned 6 in 2022 and we decided he was the perfect age to celebrate at Legoland. We had never been before and found the ticket options more affordable than expected.

Invitation

The invitation was made in Canva and provided the color scheme for the rest of the decorations. Here is the Canva template link to update it with your own details.

Decorations

The banners were made by layering cardstock together. I ended up using the same mini-figure head images for the shirt designs (provided later in this post). Instead of a cake topper, we found candles that look like lego blocks and went with primary colors on a Publix cake.

Theme Park

We had a blast at Legoland. It was the first time we’d seen solar panels being used to create covered parking and charging stations for electric cars. We were surprised that the park closed at 5 each day, but after being there we understood why.

Here is a link to the park map.

The park was not crowded and the rides were the perfect size and amount of thrill for the boys at this age. There were a bunch of interactive play areas and we appreciated the indoor lego building area with extra cold air conditioning.

The boys really enjoyed the driving school (getting their own license) and shopping the store. We were shocked to realize the closest Lego store to us is actually in Disney Springs.

What We Wore

I made each of us a fun mini-figure head shirt to wear to the parks. Each person picked out a different design they liked (Cricut Design Space link). While out shopping the outlets one day, we happened to find Lego sneakers made by Adidas. This was perfect and we got a pair for each boy.

Class Cupcakes

This was the birthday when I stopped making cupcakes and started ordering plain ones from Publix and adding themed candy to customize them. Here are the candy blocks we added.
